Dr. Alan Armstrong, MD, is a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician with over two decades of experience and a focus on patient-centered care. He currently serves as Medical Director at Gameday Men’s Health, where he helps men improve their health through evidence-based, personalized treatment plans.
Dr. Armstrong believes that every patient brings a unique story to the exam room, and that effective care starts with listening. His approach emphasizes trust, empathy, and collaboration, creating an environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered to reach their health and lifestyle goals. He treats patients with a holistic view of wellness, prioritizing long-term results and overall quality of life.
Dr. Armstrong is a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) School of Medicine, where he also completed his Family Medicine residency. His training in both family and emergency medicine has shaped his well-rounded, patient-centered approach that blends deep clinical insight with highly personalized care.
Originally raised on a horse ranch, Dr. Armstrong developed a strong work ethic and a deep sense of responsibility, qualities that continue to guide his approach to medicine today. Away from his work at Gameday Spartanburg, Dr. Armstrong enjoys spending time with his family including his five granddaughters. He’s an avid fan of sports, with a particular love for rugby, football, and golf, and values the same teamwork and discipline in his personal life that he brings to his clinical practice.
