Emergency Medicine Physician, Owner Gameday Clayton, Medical Advisory Board Member
Dr. Robert Young, DO, is a board-certified emergency medicine physician with over 15 years of experience in clinical leadership, medical education, and integrative men’s health at Gameday Clayton. As a member of the Gameday Men’s Health Medical Advisory Board, he is also committed to delivering personalized, preventative care that challenges the limitations of traditional, insurance-driven healthcare systems.
Based on his experience working in emergency medicine, Dr. Young believes strongly that modern healthcare places too much emphasis on pharmaceutical interventions and diagnoses driven by insurance and corporate interests.
Dr. Young’s philosophy and approach instead centers on holistic wellness, prevention, and integrative strategies that empower men to take control of their health and well-being. He is passionate about improving patient outcomes through education, personalized care, and a renewed focus on long-term health.
Dr. Young earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his Emergency Medicine residency at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio, where he served as the academic Chief Resident.
Dr. Young serves as Treasurer and Reimbursement Director for an emergency medicine group in North Carolina that encompasses 40 physicians and 15 APPs. He is also the education coordinator for three residency programs rotating through the emergency department, and he serves as the course director for UNC School of Medicine’s medical students in the emergency department.
